We are a consulting organization specializing in building and construction related matters
Our motto is to serve the client by being independent, objective and forthright so that both parties are fully aware of their position in any given matter.
The company was started in the early 1980’s by Ian Eilenberg who had by then spent over 20 years in the construction industry and was the third generation of builders commencing with his grandfather Henry H Eilenberg Builders back in the 1920’s.
Clients have included solicitors, builders and private clients in both commercial and residential works.
The work has covered a range of projects from supervising small residential extensions to large commercial work, assessment of insurance claims through to assessment of waterproofing problems in high rise apartments.
We will carry out inspections of buildings to ascertain any defects and to discover the origin and possible the cause of the defects.
We will suggest the most cost effective methods of rectifying those defects that are uncovered during the inspection.
We will also provide estimates of the cost of rectifying those defects that are found during the inspection.
We will also inspect incomplete buildings (either residential or industrial/commercial) with a view to providing an estimate of the cost of the work done and the cost to complete
Ian regularly prepares Reports for use in legal proceedings, as well as appearing to provide expert evidence in VCAT, Magistrate (State and Federal), Country and Supreme court matters.
Ian is a certified mediator and practices as a mediator and arbitrator in a range of building related areas.

Commenced employment with F.T. Jeffrey P/L as a cadet in 1966 and continued through to the end of 1975. My responsibilities ranged initially from site administration, through scheduling and sub-contract co-ordination, as well as engineering design for formwork, scaffolding etc, and particularly safety related issues and finally as Project Manager.
The main work included Commercial and Industrial projects ranging from schools, banks hospitals, low and high rise, and industrial projects. (St.Vincents Hospital (3 major projects including the Bolte Rehabilitation Centre) Epworth & St.Georges Hospitals as well for many of the major banking institutions.
From 1975-1985 was a partner and General Manager of Triad Constructions P/L . Responsibilities included negotiations, involved in contract administration, scheduling etc, and later chief estimator role from the late 1970’s, as well as labour and sub-contract negotiations. Considerable work was undertaken in domestic as well as the commercial arena, ranging from house extensions through to major residential projects and on to major industrial and commercial projects involving a wide range of construction techniques, from simple timber construction, through steel frames, concrete frames, and all manner of roof and wall cladding systems including.
